Scott provides senior counsel for major corporations, non-profits and industry associations across sectors, developing strategies at the nexus of strategic communications and government relations. With a decade of communications experience in the heart of the political arena, Scott specializes in crafting clear, compelling messaging that resonates with a wide range of audiences. His insight into both the mechanics of government and the inner workings of the media landscape make him a strategic asset for clients looking to raise their profile and cultivate influence.
Scott has worked with clients across the technology, education, energy and research sectors to build credibility and win positive recognition, leveraging his strong relationships with thought leaders, journalists and decision makers across Canada. This has included some of the world’s brightest scientists, premier post-secondary institutions, natural resource companies, tech giants and defence innovators.
Prior to Crestview, Scott worked as a writer and communications advisor on Parliament Hill, where he advised decision-makers, including multiple Opposition Leaders, on their strategic communications. Throughout his career, he has developed a deep understanding of the narratives that shape Canada’s political and media landscape – and how to frame them – drafting speeches, driving media engagement and crafting creative content that moves audiences and delivers compelling results.
Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from Redeemer University.
