Bio
Maya is a political communications and policy professional with experience across parliamentary, campaign and think tank settings in NSW and federal politics.
She served as Electorate Officer to a NSW Member of Parliament, where she led policy research, speechwriting and media strategy in support of the MP’s parliamentary and public engagements. During the 2025 Federal Election, she supported a federal Senator’s campaign office, coordinating between campaign headquarters and local teams to deliver strategy and logistics across NSW target seats.
Prior to that, Maya spent close to two years at the Centre for Independent Studies, where she co-authored the policy paper What is Prison Good For? with Peter Kurti and supported research and communications across economic, education and social policy portfolios. She is a contributing author to Finding Menzies: A New Generation’s Inspiration for Foreign Affairs, Social Policy and Political Thought, and served as President of the Sydney University Liberal Club.
Maya holds a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Politics and Marketing, from the University of Sydney.
