Bio

Jonathan Scott advises clients on strategy, communications, and public policy. Based in Crestview’s Toronto office, he works with organizations navigating high-stakes decisions.

Jonathan brings experience across government, consulting, environmental organizations, development, and elected office, giving him a practical understanding of how organizations build public trust and advance major projects in politically complex environments. His work focuses on infrastructure, environmental policy, land-use planning, and the broader political and institutional forces that shape sustainable communities.

Re-elected with more than 79 percent of the vote, Jonathan served as Councillor for Ward 2 in the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury, where he advanced downtown revitalization, environmental protection, and support for vulnerable residents in a rapidly growing community. He also served as Chair of the Board of the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority and as Vice-Chair of Conservation Ontario.

Jonathan currently serves as a Director of VIA Rail Canada, Canada’s national passenger rail Crown corporation, and as Co-Chair of CONTACT Community Services, a regional social-services charity.

Earlier in his career, Jonathan held senior roles across government, consulting, and the development sector. He worked at Queen’s Park as Director of Communications for the government caucus and previously worked as Vice-President at a boutique Canadian advertising agency and a development corporation focused on seniors’ housing.

He holds an MBA from Queen’s University, a Master of Laws from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, an LLB from Cardiff School of Law and Politics, and a Bachelor of Arts in literature from Trinity College. He is completing the ICD designation at the Rotman School of Management.
