Conner’s strategic communications and public affairs background supports clients developing and executing government relations strategies. With a network across Canada and an eye for delivering the right message to the right person at the right time, he cuts through the noise to advance businesses’ interests with decision-makers. He specializes in the immigration, defence, indigenous, regulatory, non-profit, and life sciences sectors.
Conner joined Crestview Strategy after working as a foreign service officer with the Government of Canada. He focused on migration security and mitigating risk. His work earned him and his team a public service award nomination in 2025.
Previously, Conner worked at the Department of National Defence where he advised the government and NATO allies on deterrence communications. Before that, he led a public affairs team at a major provincial regulator, working to protect consumers’ interests. He also worked at a government relations firm where he helped clients access funding dollars, improve their reputations with government, and support them through vulnerable periods.
Conner is also an experienced campaign operative. A war rooms and political campaign veteran, he has led strategic communications and opposition research work with Ontario Liberal Party campaigns for nearly a decade. Conner continues to volunteer regularly with the party.
Conner holds a Master of Arts in History from Dalhousie University.
