Heidi Bonnell is a proven public affairs and stakeholder relations expert focused on finding solutions that shape public sentiment and drive policy outcomes.
For almost twenty years, Heidi served as Vice President, Government Affairs at Rogers Communications. She led advocacy efforts with key stakeholder audiences on critical Rogers regulatory, consumer and corporate files, including the successful $26B acquisition of Shaw Communications. Her career in government includes a decade spent serving in increasingly senior strategic roles, including Director of Communications to the Federal Minister of Industry and Communications Chief to the Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Heidi currently sits on the Board of Directors of The Canada Media Fund (CMF) which fosters, promotes, and finances Canadian content across all audiovisual platforms and The Rooms Corporation, a Newfoundland and Labrador Crown Corporation responsible for the province’s combined museum, archives and art gallery facility, and the Cancer Care Foundation of Newfoundland & Labrador. She is a past president of the Canadian Club of Ottawa and former Director of the Canadian Association of Broadcasters.
Recognized for her service to Canada, she is also the recipient of both the King Charles III Coronation Medal and the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.
