Emma Teitel is a Senior Consultant in Strategic Communications and an award-winning journalist. She specializes in shaping narratives that influence public opinion and land in the mainstream media. Based in Toronto, she supports senior leaders and organizations with media strategy, thought leadership, and reputational positioning, drawing on her experience as a member of the editorial board at the Toronto Star and as a current affairs columnist for the National Post.
Emma brings a distinctive ability to translate complex policy and reputational issues into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with both media and the public. She is a trusted advisor on high-stakes and crisis situations, helping clients build profile, manage risk, and secure top-tier coverage across print, broadcast, and digital platforms.
Before entering consulting, Emma spent more than a decade as a nationally recognized columnist and commentator, with bylines in leading publications including the Toronto Star, Maclean’s Magazine, the National Post, and The Boston Globe. She is a regular voice in national media and serves on the board of Best Buddies Canada, a non-profit that champions inclusion and opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Emma holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of King’s College in Halifax. Outside work, she plays shinny on Toronto’s outdoor rinks throughout the winter.
