Bio
Chris Wilks is a public policy professional with cross-sector experience in federal politics, emergency management and stakeholder engagement, spanning both government and community-facing roles.
Chris has advised senior political leaders on policy development, campaign strategy and legislative priorities, having served in the offices of the Federal Minister for Resources and former Prime Minister the Hon Tony Abbott AC. He has played a key role in shaping and communicating policy positions, managing constituency engagement and coordinating political strategy during election cycles.
At the NSW Premier’s Department, Chris worked within the Emergency Management Branch, leading stakeholder engagement strategies, coordinating interjurisdictional policy analysis, and contributing to a comprehensive overhaul of the State Emergency Management Plan. His work helped align emergency preparedness efforts across government and the community sector.
Chris has also overseen major public events involving international dignitaries, business leaders and community organisations. His strong grasp of protocol, logistics and relationship-building has supported the delivery of complex, high-stakes initiatives with lasting impact.
Chris holds a degree in Government and International Relations from the University of Sydney and brings a blend of political insight, operational experience and stakeholder management expertise to his consulting work.
